Baan Amorn believes it is important to give back to the community and share the good fortunes that we receive. Out of this belief we are starting regular charity and merit making activities. The first one took place today:
Sept 14th 2013: A group of students spent part of the afternoon sponsoring Lunch and delivering donated goods of first necessity (worth over 10 000 THB) at Baan Rajvithi-Home for Girls, an orphanage and refuge for beaten, abused or abandoned Girls in Bangkok. Please see picture here.
October 19th 2013: We are going to donate food and and articles of need for abandoned dogs (soi dogs) at Baan Street Dogs Soi Patthanakran 44. Ms. Fha is taking care of 500 street dogs currently. This's short information about her and the place: http://hilight.kapook.com/view/75852 (In Thai only)
Our second Charity today Saturday the 19th of October: We have visited street dogs home/place in Bangkok (บ้านใต้มุ้งฟ้า). Ms.Fha (who works in the bar at night and in the daytime takes care of dogs and cats). She has 50 sick dogs in Bangkok and after getting healthy they will be transferred to Khanchanaburi Province where she has almost 1,000 dogs. It was a Charity of sadness and happiness at the same time. Today we also went to the hospital where her dogs and cats get treatment and medication. Ms.Fha has an outstanding bill in this hospital (almost 30,000THB = 750Euros) and we reduced some for her. Please see picture here
March will see Baan-Amorn students return to Baan Rajvithi-Home for Girls on March 1 to sponsor lunch for abused and abandoned girls and women in Bangkok. If you are interested in joining please contact Amorn.
